The time will show whats better. All games that was pushed like ( Rift, Tera, SWTOR...) does not stamped World of Warcraft into the ground. Wow is and "old" game but the age of the game improves the options you got. It is nearly bug free, the world looks cool and the world and quests get updated. It has a big content to play and i think its hard to beat down wow.
