Does it auto-scan for the offsets, or do you need to input them manually?

No, it doesn't. You should use CE or other soft to retrieve needed data. Check the source

How do i use this bot with cheat engine? I'm new to this and I've been trying for several hours trying to figure it out. the tutorials in cheat engine didn't help me and when i did the open window icon on the bot program i get the unknown extension error.

You should be a little bit experienced in CE: know how to find something in game memory etc.
First of all, you need AutoIt. Then with CE try to find offsets, BA (dunno what exactly needed for this bot). Replace values in bot source and recompile it

Is it possible to create a function in the AutoIt script so that it will automatically find, extract, and use the offsets and values needed to get the bot running?

Since I can't download I'd like to ask if we're able to modify the bot and may add stuff or update the offsets ourself?
Thanks would like to get this working on official eden again.
