HackREQ - Requiem CSV Hacking Just got Easier! [Updated to support Multi Client]

HackREQ is a 100% Free application that overrides values in the CSV files on the fly when Requiem is loading. This avoids having to modify the VDK files. You can specify multiple Profiles and launch multiple instances of Requiem with different hacks applied quickly and easily.

The profiles are easily saved and shared with fellow users being a simple xml format.

    To use:

Launch HackREQ and you will be presented with the default profile included with this version. As you can see, there are several Profiles defined for both US and SEA servers. If needed for each profile, change the Requiem System Folder to match your installation of Requiem. Don't forget to press Save!

Each Profile contains one or more Overrides to apply when the game is loading.

The Action specifies how the value will be modified.
The Value is used to modify the actual value.

Each Override applies to a specific Table (CSV File).

And a specific Column in that Table (CSV File).

You can apply an Override conditionally by using Filters.

This example shows an Override that will Decrease the actual value by 5 in the Use_Casting_Time Column of the SkillAsset Table where the actual value is between 15 and 60.

When you are ready to play Requiem, you just select a Profile and press the Play button.
HackREQ will launch Requiem, hook into it and apply the Overrides as Requiem loads.
This process can be monitored for problems in the Trace window.

You may now shut down HackREQ or if you choose you may continue to use it to start/stop multiple instances of Requiem.

To stop an instance of Requiem, select the process from the list and press the Stop button.

You may create as many Profiles as you want and each Profile can contain as many Overrides as you want.

Use the buttons on the toolbar to create new Profiles and Overrides. You can also copy and paste Profiles as well as Overrides.

Don't hesitate to ask questions if anything is unclear.

    Enjoy experimenting!

    Virustotal result: 0%

*NOTE: If your client currently uses modified VDK files, HackREQ will modify those values as they are loaded and produce possibly unwanted results.

Here is another useful Override I figured out that cancels out all visual spell effects.
    Great lag reducer!

To add it just select a Profile and press the New Override button on the toolbar.

    General
    Name: Effect Script
    Hack
    Action: Replace
    Value: 0
    Table
    Table: SkillAsset
    Table Column: Effect_Script
    Filter
    Type: Not Equal
    Value 1: 0
    Value 2: (N/A - leave blank)

Press Save when finished entering the Override settings.

I am not sure what all values are modified by Dwar. I believe all his values are included.

If you are asking about not seeing the casting animations and would like to see your casting animations, just delete the following Overrides from your Profile:

    Casting Animation
    Casting Ready Animation

    Don't forget to save!

Good for quick editing CSV files. Yep, it makes it easier (i think, as i didn't tried this yet, and idk if i will), but..too sadly, this way people won't learn anything more than just duoble-click on *.exe, and just overwrite some stuff in that tool..and the tool does everything else for them..
Im going for Dwar's VDK decompiler/packer + some notepad++ or ms excel stuff...as things like those can give you advantage in future of using/hacking other stuff and so on, and this tool does not give oppurtunity to learn anything.
Still, it's good tool for both, beginners (as they don't acutally need to do any serious work) and pros (to quicken the process).

Fixed 3/16/2010. You can now run multiple instances with separate accounts.

The purpose of HackREQ is to allow users to run the game with modified CSV values without requiring the user to go through the whole process of:
    • Extract from VDK
    • Modify CSV by hand
    • Compress to VDK
    • Copy new VDK to Game Folder
    • Start Requiem
    • Stop Requiem
    • Extract from VDK
    • Modify CSV by hand
    • Compress to VDK
    • Copy new VDK to Game Folder
    • Start Requiem
    • Stop Requiem

    ...

Since HackREQ modifies the CSV values as they are loaded by the game and does not modify any actual VDK files on the client, this allows you to quickly and easily experiment with changing CSV values since it's as simple as:
    • Change Override Value
    • Start Requiem
    • Stop Requiem
    • Change Override Value
    • Start Requiem
    • Stop Requiem
    • Change Override Value
    • Start Requiem
    • Stop Requiem

Also, modifying the actual VDK means Requiem is now hardwired with those hacks and the only way to turn them off is to revert back to the original VDK.

HackREQ Profiles allow you to pick and choose which hacks you want to run without going through all that hassle and the original VDK is never modified so you don't even have to worry about a patch.

My suggestion for your situation would be to use HackREQ to quickly experiment with values and when you figure out all your Overrides, go ahead and crack open the VDK and hardwire the changes as you have been doing.

It took me all of about 10 minutes to figure out and implement the Effect_Script Override to get rid of spell graphics.

We are thinking of adding a feature to export a modified CSV file as Requiem loads or even allowing the user to specify an external CSV file to read from. So you could either dynamically modify values on the fly as it does now or statically read every value from an external CSV file.
