Thread: Ragnarok Online 2: English International Server Client Modification

Hello,

I currently play iRO2 (International Ragnarok Online 2), though there is something that I want to change client side. I despise the English voices, I know call me crazy, but I prefer the original Korean voices. I been searching around the client install folder trying to find the files we would need to replace from the original Korean RO2 or SeaRO2 client. I thought they would reside in the /SFX_F/ file, but after extracting them there is no voice files in any of the archives.

I was hoping maybe some people can come together and we can figure this out. Like wise, if I find what I do, I will post method in case anyone is interested.

You need to get the files "DATA_S1.VDK, DATA_S2.VDK, DATA_S3.VDK" of the SEA client and put them in your client, then you will have a Korean voice

That's actually pretty good, the chain smoker voice of some... "lady" npcs is disturbing...

The English voices in this game are overbearing, loud and out of character. Probably the biggest design flaw outside of the limited equipment/skills.

There are so many design flaws with that game, I don't even know where to start... but have a suspicion that I will be here all day xD

One of the top of my head is the number of injured npc's that you need to heal with npc bought potions, so if you are an alchemist, you cannot use your own potion, and if you are a priest, you can't heal them... WTF is all of that about?

Original voices sound so much much better.

The NA's voices are too exaggerated..
