//Edit for Mod: The links are cut out due the zero post count rule. This is why i tried to submit the half text and wanted to update it right away. Didnt work, as you can see I just cut out every link in this version, when it gets submitted i will instantly edit it.
Thanks in advance!
First of all, this ain't a guide from myself. All credits belong to zzerachiel from elitepvpers for setting this up.
Well, many of us already know that the rohan server files have been released for a couple of weeks already. Even tho the auth server isnt running properly we are still able to set up or local private server for lan or single playing. Have fun with it
Requirements
- VMWare 9+
- The server files from code175.com
----- This is the topic : link
----- This is the link for those files on a decent hosting : link
- Important
As far as i know, the server runs only on Intel Dual Core Processors
Supported operating systems : Windows Server 2003, Windows XP
Programs/alterations that mess up 192.exe
Running the program on a single core processor
Installing Hamachi or any other program that creates VPNs
I will update this list while new issues appear
Step 1
- Extract the image and add it to vmware workstation
- Edit the memory available and number of processors to suit your PC
- Run the image
- The password for Administrator is "address"
Step 2
- Test if you can run "address"
- Now, the tricky part comes up.
--- Some people said that their vmware image works just fine without any alterations to the vmware settings, but it did not work for me.
---- On your Host computer open Virtual Network Manager ( Start->All Programs->VMWare )
---- Click on VMNet1
---- Subnet IP : "address"
---- Click DHCP Settings
---- Start IP adress : "address"
---- End IP adress : "address"
Step 3
- With your VMWare image running, edit the network adapter present from Bridged to Host Only
VM - > Settings -> Click on Network Adapter -> In the right panel select host only
- On the Guest OS go to Network connections and set your present connection IPs to automatic ( also DNS Server )
you can get there by going Start -> Command Prompt -> type control -> look for the icon for network connections
- On your Host OS run a browser and type this
"link"
It should be working. If you don't, double check your setings.
192.exe should be running !!!
From this moment you have a working local server. Only you can connect to it.
About the client to use it with this server
Not all clients work with this servers. A small amount of people managed to make some clients to work, but i guess they don't want to share.
However, rohandebugger shared a rohanclient.exe version that has GG bypass. You can find it in the attachments.
If you manage to get pass login and you get the following error at the server list :
- ERR Connection Failed ( False )
is because your client version is not valid.
To make the current client you're using to work with the server you have to open SQL Server Management and edit the following :
RohanUser.dbo.DownFlag -> Right click -> Select the option with "(200)"
There's a single row there, and in one column you'll find Client Version.
Ok, in the 192.exe window, after you login you get some output, including your client version. It's something like 1,0,1,5,3.
Take that number from there and put it in the table.
Username and passwords
Atm i haven't looked into the user management scripts to be able to create new users.
Just use test01 with code175 as a password.
test02, test03, etc have the same passwords.
