    Re: [Tutorial] Cheat Engine Walkthrough

    Thanks for the links Dwar,

I have recently used CE and tried to hack one of the MMOs I've been playing around with. I successfully found the static addresses (yes addresses, because there were 3 of them, at least) that points to health point of my character. They were all green and corresponding to changes I made in the game. I made pointers for these 3 static addresses and froze them, but the values in the game were still changing. Sometimes the value jumped to the value I froze in CE, but then it jumped back to what it really was. Why is this? Please help me out. I'm new to hacking MMO. (excuse me if it's hard to understand the problem. Let me know and I'll try to explain it another way).

I believe that is because, Alot of the values are server sided, and do not affect the game in anyway, especially if its values for like HP or MP, however in most cases, speed can be changed using CE :0

Speed is usually the easiest to hack in a online game unless they got a realy good timestamp check on serverside.
Other things that is usually easy to do is teleport hack if server checks location (most new game does) then it might be possible to just teleport short distances that is inside of the checked range then chain a long jump into small jumps that got a couple os ms delay in each jump so server can update new location before you jump next.
If all depends on how good the devs been on adding checks on serverside. Most of the time developers are lazy and do a halfass job on checks so there is a way around the checking.
