Bots - To be or not to be (free)

What do you guys think? Should a bot be free or not? I have never paid for a bot before nor have I charged for a bot. I have seen scandals, the popular one being the surveys. Has anyone paid for a bot before? Do you think people should charge for bots?
I do like the concept of add cool features that you can get by donating. That way, a user can see the bot is real and not a scam and if they like it they can donate and get extra feature. What you do guys think?

I think that you must donate to get special features, because, IF YOU SPEND A LOT OF YOUR TIME DOING SOMETHING FOR THE OTHERS, and these 'others' ask you to make it free, you make, but put some special things to get some return from all your work, all your knowledge, your time and experience is at it, so the time, experience and knowledge of the others must be free? do you can make bots and programs only to be respected around the world? respect doesn't pay your bills (:
I think that Dwar must make all his knowledge, stuffs and tutorials be paid, but he makes all free for us, no chance to any program to make ur game more easy, be free [:

Generally, it will depend on bot creator. If creator is altruist then in 80% bot can be free, but don't forget about one small thing - we are living in "real" commercial world, and if you spend your time (and time = money), you should cover any expenses. Donations will not help, moreover donations amount are always small and can't cover real cost price of the bot. E.g., I spent about year for supporting darkReq and then decided to discontinue development due the fact that this project was completely free. But, as you can see, I constantly release unpackers for resources, make unpacked executables and so on, and all free of charge (only expecting contribution to PGC; by the way, PGC also not commercial community).
Please, post your questions on forum, not by PM or mail

I spend my time, so please pay a little bit of your time to keep world in equilibrium

Interesting, I am kind of looking to maybe charge for a bot. Right now, I'm still learning and it's been unpleasant due to the updates. Just yesterday they changed the address of the packet for forsaken world again.
My research and learn has been a bit good since this site provide me wonderful information.

also, the economy isn't looking too good in this line of field. It's hard to get a job, so racking a bit of money would be quite good. Esp when it's for knowledge and doing what you enjoy the most.

Anyways, how much would one charge for a bot?

the idea of having a bot for free is good for the users. however, considering the intellectual efforts the bot developers gave for the bot work (ei. writing its programs, scripts and the endless battle with updated anti-cheat systems) should also be counted in. i agree with the idea of having additional features should the consumers wish to pay. but the question is up to what extent should the bot give if it was used for free. prices should also vary depending on what features a user might use. if he's just interested in using multiclients, a bot's price should be lower compared another user planning to use full automated macro and multiclients as an example. probably this is not the case for most bot programs as they offer full packages for their products.

it depends on what you're aiming at, do you want to be recognized as the guy who kept on frustrating the game maker or you wanted to make a buck or two for it...

whether it is for fame or fortune, if the effort and scope of your bot is something that will take time or even a small group to accomplish then its probably worth charging for... FREE is simply a word that simplifies the meaning of no restriction which is merely an illusion, in truth bots are made to be maintained
