Here I will post a short tutorial to import models and animation in 3d Studio Max.
Software necesary:
3d Studio max
010 Editor
File format:
.Ebm contain texture model and animation of Creature
.Ech contain texture models and animation of Character
Every models of Cabal up to 2017 year will be correctly imported by the 3d studio max script you can find in attachment,
but models from 2017 to now need to be edited in 010 editor in order to remove some bytes.
To modify ebm/ech to load them in 3d studio max , here what you need to do.
Download files in attachment ( there will be 3dstudio max script, and template for 010 editor)
Go to the file you want to open in 3d studio max, and deselct read only mode, in order to modify it in 010 editor.
Run 010 editor -> file -> open file -> select any .ebm /ech that cannot be opened in 3d studio max.
Click on run template -> select ebm_ech.bt ( common.bt need to stay in the same folder).
Now you will the the structure of the file , go to gemotry structure and for every sub mesh remove " Struct Text efx file" ( should be 2 byte ( 00 00). Save the file and now you should open it in 3dstudio max.
remember: every ebm ech of cabal from 2010 up to 2017 could be opened in 3d studio max, every file from 2017 to now should be modified in 010 editor.
