As I remember, game client should check file existence and if file is found on HDD, it will be read from HDD, not from archive. Try to remove original jpk from game folder and place unpacked files into proper location.

Thank you for the suggestion. I'll give it a try and see if it will work and maybe I wont be using my bat files anymore to trick the game from reading the sound files.

Thanks for the jpk unpacker. I'm also trying to get the korean voices to work on the english client. I was wondering what steps you guys took to accomplish this because I'm having a lot of trouble doing this haha.

I have managed to unpack the KR version sound.jpk and the NA version Sound_NA.jpk individually.

The first 5 sound_NA files contain all the npc sound recordings, and starting the 6th to 11th are playable character sound recordings.

In the KR version, it's the 5th to 10th sound.jpk files that contain the playable character sound files.

In terms of similarity, the NA and KR version character recordings are about 5% different; some sound files are missing in KR version and some missing in NA version. For example, Mage has 143 identical sound files out of 174 between KR and NA version.

This basically implies that by simply replacing the sound.jpk file would not do the job; we need a JPK repacker so that we can rearrange the files properly and group them into the right file names.

I've tried placing the unpacked KR sound effects in the data folder, but the game prioritizes the JPK files over the unpacked files.
