Great. I got approved.
Downloaded the file, tested unpack and it works.
Many thanks.
I read some references on here and elitepvpers, they say it uses filesystem.dll (in RO2 case, its filesystem_d.dll). doesn't seems that easy to use a mangled class functions.

Now my question.. how did you do it?
Manually read the binary files then convert/extract/unpack ?

Works great with the new English version of RO2:LotS!
My plans of making a fan-site is making real progress =)
Thanks a lot!

I'm intending to use this tool to help build the RO2 wikipedia site, just like what I did with MapleSEA last time with the data.wz file extraction. Hopefully, my user gets approved and I can contribute to gaming community again. *crossfingers*
Anyway, if this tool is released to public like mentioned in the post, it would be great if someone post it on a public domain and post the URL for it so that this semi-private forum wouldn't be flooded with inactive 1-post signups instead.
Thank you for this amazing tool in advance!

I was looking for a way to access the ro2 meshes and since hackshield prevents 3D ripper dx from injecting I thought this unpacker might do the job. However I can't download the attachment, apparently according to the rules I'm expected to make a "tutorial or guide" thread. Since my skills are limited to modeling and basic texturing and I hardly speak assembly it'd seem my options are limited to creating dubious threads such as the "installing maps in CS guide" (vBB would not let me link to said thread with my post count). I'd rather avoid creating such a ludicrous thread.

Thanks for the tool and for activating my account. I able to get the RO2 textures in dds format and the bone animation though the geometry is in an undocumented nif version. Looks like this will take some time to get a handle on.
On an unrelated note there seem to be a lot of unused copies of files, useless auto-generated files and leftovers from Requiem in RO2. The devs weren't worried about file size.
