Thread: Map files to in game coordinates?

Hello, just recently registered here (today) and I see that this community has a lot of knowledge about file structures and packing/unpacking files along with a wide array of other things. My question is how would I be able to take map files from a game (specifically league of legends) and turn them into the in-game coordinates? I'm assuming that I would have to render all of the map files into one but then I thought the minimap must have a method of converting your mouse position over it to the coordinates of the main map, so possibly that would be an easier way?
